Data Warehouse, Reporting & Security Lead

Division of People First

This position is located in Tallahassee, FL

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities of the Data Warehouse, Reporting & Security Lead include, but are not limited to:

Reporting

  • Manages the development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and monitoring of the data warehouse and business objects (BOBJ) reporting solution in the People First system.
  • Develops and provides customized statewide workforce reports (agency specific and statewide data) to state agencies, executive leadership, legislative staff, and the Department’s divisions to support state and federal reporting, grant / federal funding, state / federal reimbursement, agency litigation, executive leadership decisions, legislative staff analysis, collective bargaining and benefits analysis.
  • Provides technical assistance to agency report users on the data warehouse, BOBJ reporting solution, and ad hoc report development.
  • Provides training to agency report users on the BOBJ reporting solution, including developing training materials.
  • Performs independent reviews and analysis to detect systemic issues for the data warehouse and BOBJ reporting solution in the People First system.
  • Recommends enhancements, develops business requirements, reviews functional design documents, develops thorough test scripts, conducts testing of enhancements during the user acceptance testing process, and conducts post-implementation validations for the data warehouse and BOBJ reporting solution in the People First system.
  • Acts as a liaison for the People First team with the service provider, state agencies, the Department’s Division of State Group Insurance (DSGI), and Division of State Human Resource Management (HRM) for the data warehouse and BOBJ reporting solution.
  • Logs, processes, tracks, and completes the People First team’s public records requests.

Security – Operational and Prevention

  • Manages the development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and monitoring of security items in the People First system.
  • Recommends enhancements, develops business requirements, reviews functional design documents, develops thorough test scripts, conducts testing of enhancements during the user acceptance testing process, and conducts post-implementation validations for security items in the People First system.
  • Conducts security audits to identify potential security issues, suspicious activity, or theft cases of the People First system.
  • Analyzes security infractions and violations of the People First system.
  • Reviews the service provider / subcontractor(s)’s SOC 1 / SOC 2, Type 2 reports for security implications to ensure compliance in accordance with the Next Generation People First contract.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the People First system, knowledge of the data in the People First Data Warehouse/BOBJ views, and experience using the People First BOBJ reporting solution.
