Job summary

Illinois State Board of Education seeks a Data Warehouse Lead within the Software Solutions department to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the ISBE data warehouse. The role will report to a Supervisor and lead a team of data analysts to deliver data-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in data architecture, ETL, data modeling, and SQL Server, with strong leadership and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT field with at least five years of experience, or an Associate's degree with at least five years' experience performing development and analysis.
• Minimum five years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, and ETL processes.
• Proven experience in leading a team of data professionals.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, data modeling tools, ETL tools and warehousing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees end-to-end development and implementation of data warehouse projects meeting business requirements and timelines.
• Designs data architecture and models to support storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Analyzes current warehouse architecture and recommends cloud migration for efficient data management.
• Develops, optimizes, and maintains ETL processes for accurate data loads.
• Establishes data quality standards and governance for data accuracy and security.
• Leads and mentors a team of data analysts, guiding goal achievement.
• Collaborates with stakeholders and IT teams to deliver solutions.
