Job summary

Crayola is seeking a Data Warehouse & Integrations Architect to design and maintain enterprise ELT pipelines, enabling scalable data movement and transformation across global platforms. The role emphasizes diagnosis, modernization, and collaboration with senior engineers to meet data delivery standards.

You will manage ingestion and validation of structured data, support cloud-based migrations, and ensure data quality across warehouse and downstream systems, leveraging Power BI for analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or data warehousing.
  • Experience with integration platforms and tooling including API integrations and tools such as Informatica ICDM; Snowflake preferred; MS Fabric Lakehouse a plus.
  • Understanding of source systems and enterprise applications including SAP.
  • BI/analytics delivery tools; Power BI experience required.
  • Knowledge of Lakehouse concepts and architectures is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; ability to translate technical topics.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ELT pipelines to support ingestion, transformation, and loading of enterprise data.
  • Execute data integration across platforms using API, file-based, and system-to-system patterns.
  • Monitor data pipelines and resolve routine issues to support global data warehouse operations.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation across staging, warehouse, and downstream systems.
  • Contribute to transformation logic aligned with dimensional models and enterprise data structures.
  • Document data pipelines, integration flows, and transformation logic for knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in testing including unit tests, regression validation, and releases.
  • Support modernization by migrating legacy integrations to ELT and cloud-based frameworks.

Data Warehouse & Integrations Architect, Hybrid, Easton, PA
GENERAL SUMMARY

Experienced technical resource responsible for supporting the development, execution, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse and integration solutions. This role works within established ELT frameworks, integration patterns, and data architecture standards defined by leadership to ensure reliable and scalable data movement and transformation.

The position contributes to global data delivery by supporting ingestion, transformation, and validation of structured and semi-structured data across enterprise platforms. The role focuses on execution, operational support, and continuous improvement of data pipelines while developing foundational expertise in data engineering and enterprise data ecosystems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain ELT pipelines using established frameworks to support ingestion, transformation, and loading of enterprise data

  • Execute data integration processes across platforms, including API-based, file-based, and system-to-system data movement patterns
  • Support the ongoing operation of the global data warehouse environment by monitoring data pipelines, identifying failures, and resolving routine issues
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across staging, warehouse, and downstream systems
  • Assist in implementing transformation logic aligned with defined dimensional models, schemas, and enterprise data structures
  • Contribute to documentation of data pipelines, integration flows, and transformation logic to support knowledge transfer and operational resiliency
  • Participate in testing activities including unit testing, regression validation, and support for release and deployment processes
  • Support modernization and migration efforts by assisting in transitioning legacy integration processes to standardized ELT and cloud-based frameworks
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and leadership to apply established standards related to metadata, naming conventions, error handling, and data quality controls
  • Escalate issues related to data integrity, system dependencies, or performance that impact global data availability or reliability
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration, OR 5+ years of relevant professional experience relevant to the requirements below.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or data warehousing
  • Experience with integration platforms and tooling, including API integrations, platform integrations, and tools such as Informatica ICDM or comparable solutions. Experience with Snowflake a strongly preferred. Experience with MS Fabric Lakehouse a plus.
  • Understanding of source systems and enterprise applications, including but not limited to SAP, and the associated extraction and integration considerations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of BI and analytics delivery tools; Power BI experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Lakehouse concepts and architectures is beneficial.
  • Strong business partnership, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into user-friendly language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to lead multiple simultaneous efforts in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • High initiative and ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to work on simultaneous projects.
