Job summary

Menards is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and implement BI and data management solutions for the Enterprise Data Warehouse. You will partner with architects and business partners to shape the technical vision across applications in our data warehouse environment.

You will design semantic models, ETL/ELT workflows, and dashboards; optimize performance and ensure data quality. Role requires collaboration with technical and business teams and willingness to work standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in an analytical related field (CS/IT/data engineering).
• 1+ years’ experience developing SQL code.
• Experience testing for QA, administering and monitoring database technologies.
• Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills with both technical and business personnel.
• Experience with DB/ETL/BI tools (Postgres, PySpark, MicroStrategy).
• Must work standard office hours Mon–Fri at Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI; remote/hybrid not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise BI solutions with focus on Strategy and semantic models, cubes, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Design and support ETL/ELT workflows, implement business rules, ensure data quality and integrity.
• Optimize ETL processes and reports for target execution times.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into BI solutions.
• Develop program specifications, write code, test changes, and implement them.
• Develop test plans and thoroughly test and debug code prior to implementation.
• Monitor, tune, and analyse database performance.
