Summary: Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related applications.
  2. Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
  3. Generate reports using Power BI, BusinessObjects, or similar tools.
  4. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
  5. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  6. Write code, complete programming tasks, and perform testing/debugging using modern programming languages and technologies.
  7. Train and communicate with Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on system applications.
  8. Develop or execute project plans and schedules while documenting work and results.
  9. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups, both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  2. 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT, and Cloud projects.
  3. Hands-on experience with CI/CD Pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, etc.
  4. Strong understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
  5. Financial industry knowledge, including practices, regulations, and operations.
  6. Ability to interpret and design sequence diagrams, class models, and architectural frameworks.
  7. Strong SQL skills, including writing and analyzing complex queries and stored procedures.
  8. Proficiency in Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, or similar reporting tools.
  9. Understanding of software testing concepts.
  10. Familiarity with Data Warehouse and ETL processing tools (e.g., IBM DataStage, Databricks, Data Builder Tool).
  11. Knowledge of Snowflake (or alternatives like Azure OneLake).
  12. Ability to work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  13. In-depth knowledge of design patterns and their practical application.
