Iconma,-Llc. seeks a Data Warehouse & BI Engineer to design, develop, and deliver data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions for a manufacturing environment across Charlotte, NC and Corning, NY in a hybrid setup.

The role requires 5+ years in Data Warehouse/BI with Microsoft BI tools (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), strong T-SQL, ETL, and Power BI expertise, and experience in SDLC and Agile teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years designing, developing, and supporting Data Warehouse and BI solutions.
  • 5+ years with Microsoft BI: SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS.
  • Strong T-SQL development, stored procedures, tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Experience SDLC and Agile in software projects.
  • Experience with MES, CAMSTAR, OSI PI knowledge of data models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data warehouse, reporting, and analytics delivery.
  • Translate requirements into scalable data solutions for operations.
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL procedures, queries, and scripts.
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL processes for data ingestion from MES/ERP.
  • Collaborate with DBAs to optimize server health and query performance.
  • Ensure code is version-controlled and SDLC compliant.

Job description

Our client, a Business Manufacturing And Supply company, is looking for a Data Warehouse & BI Engineer for their Charlotte, NC/ Corning, NY/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
  • The Data Warehouse & BI Engineer supports client’s manufacturing environment by leading the design, development, and delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions that drive operational visibility and business decision‑making. This role is responsible for the full solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture and design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • This is a hands‑on role for a technically strong professional who can work across business and technology teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable, and high‑value solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in data warehousing, SQL development, ETL, and reporting, along with a passion for building data solutions that support manufacturing operations, improve performance, and enable informed decisions.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality data warehouse and business intelligence solutions that support manufacturing and enterprise priorities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand requirements, define solution approaches, and deliver impactful data and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain T‑SQL procedures, functions, queries, and scripts to support data integration, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • Design, build, and support ETL processes for the intake and transformation of data from manufacturing and other enterprise systems.
  • Research, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues, stored procedures, and associated SSRS or Power BI reports.
  • Collaborate with the DBA team to assess server health, database performance, and query optimization opportunities; recommend and implement improvements such as indexing and query tuning.
  • Develop and support data migration procedures and scripts as needed for project and operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of data warehouse architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.
  • Ensure data warehouse and analytics code is maintained in version control and developed in accordance with SDLC standards.
  • Support operationally critical work and project timelines, including flexibility to work hours needed for global support when required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft BI technologies, including SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
  • Strong experience with T‑SQL development, including stored procedures, functions, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing data warehouse, ETL, and end‑user reporting solutions, including Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Experience working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience using Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or factory floor systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with Camstar or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with manufacturing‑related systems such as MES, CMMS, SPC, and OSI PI, including knowledge of their underlying data models.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data warehousing, business intelligence architecture, and analytics delivery.
  • Experience working with relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Experience using TFS, GitLab, or similar source control platforms.
  • Understanding of cubes and complex reporting or information models.
  • Clear understanding of OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Experience supporting analytics or reporting solutions in a regulated or operationally sensitive environment.
