Job summary

Cook Systems is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Specialist to support and enhance our data warehouse operations in Orlando. You will handle database maintenance, development, and administration, ensuring data loading, query support, and secure, high-performance data warehouse systems.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, 3+ years in BI tools, strong data modeling knowledge, and proven collaboration and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years IT experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
• Strong understanding of source data, data modeling, and data repository requirements.
• Proficiency in database administration and performance tuning in multi-platform environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively on projects and lead tasks of moderate complexity.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform database maintenance, development, and enhancement tasks.
• Conduct database administration, including loading data from external sources.
• Support users in constructing queries and generating output files.
• Review queries for performance issues and perform ongoing tuning and monitoring.
• Develop and administer processes to ensure the interoperability and security of data warehouse systems.
• Estimate, monitor, and enhance the performance of the data warehouse.
• Work on multiple projects as a team member and occasionally lead moderately complex projects.
• Coach and mentor junior technical staff as needed.
