Title of Position: Data Warehouse Administrator - NY, NJ, Or PA


Position Type: Full-Time. Typical shifts include Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with rotating on-call schedule for incidents outside of business hours.


Compensation Range: $65,000/Yr. - $90,000/Yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*


Location: Remote Opportunity available for NY, NJ, or PA residents ONLY.

Responsibilities/Duties::



  • Assist DBA to ensure server is patched for all vulnerabilities identified by IT Security, Monthly Health checks or personal review.

  • Monitor nightly processing and report on/fix all errors.

  • Work monthly Health check tickets as assigned.

  • Document Data Warehouse processes.

  • Analyze end user needs to determine if a new report is needed, or an existing report can be updated.

  • Implement and update reports for business users, ensuring to update old reports to meet with current Data Warehouse Standards.

  • Advocate for data quality and processing efficiency with all development projects.

  • Assist the Data Warehouse architect with implementing enterprise projects or special requests from the IT Department.

  • Manage several ETL processes and act as Subject matter expert on those processes, providing assistance and documentation, as well as programmatic support for updates and feature enhancements.

  • Develop new administrative tools to help the DW Team monitor the DW servers for performance issues.

  • Stay current with trends in data warehousing as well as work to grow knowledge and ability with T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS development skills.

  • Teach occasional training classes to IT Programming, Business Performance, and IT Operations as needed.

  • Provide departmental back-up coverage as needed.

  • Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.

  • Participate in the after hours on-call rotation for the data warehouse. Be capable of troubleshooting and resolving common issues when on call.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science related discipline and 1-3 years of relevant experience is expected; 4- 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Competence in SQL Server Administration and Database development using SSRS for reporting and SSIS for ETL packages, as well as familiar with using code repositories.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.

  • Proficient with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, PCs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



  • Proficiency in Symitar PowerOn programming, Powershell, C#, or VB.NET.

  • Familiarity the Episys or similar financial core.

  • Proficiency in query performance tuning.

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud database platform.

  • Experience in working with very large databases.
