Overview:

Our client, one of the largest Energy companies in US providing a wide range of Energy related products and services to its customers, seeks accomplished Data Visualization Analyst (HR / People Analytics).

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship ***
  • Location: New York, NY 10003
  • Duration: 6 months contract w/ possibility of extension or conversion to FTE role

Notes:

  • Hybrid role. 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
  • Work hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm or 8:30am 5:00pm (can be flexible with start time, candidate will need to be available for section manager).

Description:

  • This position will be responsible for partnering with customers to identify analytical business solutions, using a variety of data and visualization tools to build and implement data models that provide actionable insights, and presenting complex analysis in clear and understandable terms to customers at all levels of the company.
  • The ideal candidate will be resourceful and intellectually curious, have a strong team-based attitude and work ethic, and must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Design, develop, implement, and manage data models and visualizations that identify trends and provide actionable insights to drive and support key business decisions.
  • Use data visualization tools to create user-friendly, intuitive, and visually effective dashboards and reports, personalized for the relevant audience.
  • Monitor and maintain dashboards for data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Deliver training and support to relevant audiences on using the dashboards effectively.
  • Demonstrate deep care for the ethical implications of working with employee data and ensure team compliance with privacy and legal regulations.
  • Communicate and present analysis and complex ideas in easily understood terms.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging analytics to drive business solutions.
  • Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business or other related quantitative field.
  • More than three years of relevant employment experience in an analytical field.
  • Microsoft Excel experience; must be an Excel Power User.
  • Must be able to spot mistakes within presented data.
  • SQL experience.
  • Power BI experience.
  • Must be able to build dashboards.
  • Analytics background necessary.
  • Communication skills both verbal/ written.
  • Presentation skills; must be able to present and communicate data.
  • HR data background will be helpful.
  • Collaboration skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced proficiency and experience with Excel, SQL, PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, proactively identify trends, and provide actionable insights through data storytelling and visualizations.
  • Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny), including how to clean, transform and aggregate data to create meaningful insights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong customer focus and a high level of accuracy.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage highly confidential information.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments while working under tight deadlines.

Flex Skills / Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of HR processes and metrics.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (e.g., Python, SPSS, R).
  • Experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
  • Holds a professional certification or experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Familiar with Oracle Analytics Cloud Solution.
