Overview

Role summary: The Data Vault Developer designs, builds, and maintains enterprise data warehouse solutions using the Data Vault 2.0/2.1 methodology. This role collaborates with data architects, engineers, and business analysts to ensure data is modeled, integrated, and managed to support scalability, auditability, and alignment with business needs. The position involves hands-on work with SQL, Data Vault modeling, and automation tools on modern cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Data Vault 2.0/2.1 models (Hubs, Links, Satellites) to support enterprise data integration.
  • Develop and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines to populate the Data Vault from multiple source systems.
  • Develop and maintain business-facing data products sourced from the Data Vault and transform data into consumption-friendly structures (e.g., dimensional models).
  • Collaborate with architects and analysts to capture business keys, context, and lineage.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models and pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through testing and validation.
  • Apply governance and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, financial regulations) where applicable.
  • Optimize SQL queries and processes for performance and maintainability.
  • Document data models, data flows, and technical processes.
  • Work collaboratively across IT and business teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrate Tandigm Health’s commitment to superior customer service in communications and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Protect patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards and safeguard Tandigm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
  • Adhere to information security policies and report security events or risks to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience
  • 3+ years in data warehouse development.
  • Hands-on Data Vault 2.0/2.1 experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Data Vault 2.0/2.1 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain, with support provided).
  • Strong SQL skills (Snowflake, SQL Server, or equivalent).
  • Experience with data warehouse automation tools such as VaultSpeed, WhereScape, dbtvault/AutomateDV, or DataVault Builder, or equivalent frameworks or custom tools.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling (Kimball) and enterprise data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Fabric.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin Data Modeler, SAP PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler).
  • Experience with BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Domo, or Qlik.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
  • Industry experience in healthcare, insurance, or finance preferred; experience in other large-scale enterprise data environments will be considered.

  • Strong understanding of Data Vault 2.0/2.1 methodology.
  • Ability to design, document, and implement data models and integration processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL development and query optimization.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
