Job summary

TechWish in Pensacola, FL seeks a Test Engineer to establish and standardize testing methodologies for data onboarding, production deployments, and defect remediation. You will drive testing standards, data validation strategies, and Azure DevOps governance to support audit-ready testing practices.

The role requires 5+ years of data validation testing, SQL proficiency, and experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and defect management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technology & data validation testing.
• Experience with data validation methodologies and testing governance.
• ISTQB Advanced level certifications (Agile Testing, Test Analyst, Test Manager) - DESIRED
• Certification in Scaled Agile Framework (Leading SAFe, PO/PM, etc.) - DESIRED

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and interpret results, present findings, risks, and downstream impacts.
• Communicate progress, test plans, defects, and blockers clearly to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and perform testing of data feeds, integrations, and transformations across prod/non-prod.
• Participate in sizing and estimation for projects and changes.
• Create/update manual test cases/scripts in approved test tools.
• Design scalable test scenarios for source-to-target validation and production validation.
• Document test results, knowledge articles, and sign-offs.
• Leverage Azure DevOps Test Plans Suite for testing governance and defect management.
• Perform root-cause analysis for defects and provide detailed developer guidance.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to meet business needs.
• Provide recommendations to improve testing practices and processes.
• Participate in project/product team meetings and maintain alignment with goals.
