Job summary

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks an Associate, Data & Technology to build, deploy, and support trade software systems and analytics infrastructure.

You will partner with trading, sales, and operations to pinpoint issues and craft technical solutions, leveraging SQL, Python, and ML techniques. The role requires a Master’s in Technical Entrepreneurship & Management and 2+ years’ experience in data or engineering roles, with telecommuting permitted up to 2 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s in Technical Entrepreneurship & Management, or a related field.
• Requires two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Associate, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or a related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and support trade software systems, analytical tools, and scalable trading engine infrastructure.
• Partner with trading, sales, operations, and senior management to understand key system issues in the trade lifecycle and propose technical solutions.
• Gather and analyze large sets of data through various systems and implement complex mathematical calculations.
• Utilize statistical and machine learning tools to analyze market data and identify trading and operational efficiency opportunities.
• Propose changes in trading systems based on data analysis and simulation results.
• Utilize quantitative skills, programming skills, and experience implementing mathematical models in SQL, Java, bash, and Python.
