Job summary

DESC, a Seattle social services organization, seeks a Data Systems Project Manager to lead an agency-wide software needs assessment across housing, behavioral health, and medical programs.

The role advances interoperability, reduces risk, and enhances data sharing internally and externally. It requires coordinating IT, compliance, and vendor activities in a 12-month initiative with a focus on scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4 years of project management and/or procurement experience.
• Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders.
• Strong skills in scoping, budgeting, and documentation.
• Experience with electronic health systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Project Steering Committee.
• Interview staff to define scope of needs across programs.
• Document existing systems for client-related data storage.
• Work with compliance to capture regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate options and recommend solutions to the steering committee.
• Lead procurement processes from solicitation to negotiation.
• Draft and manage project communications and change management.
• Create an RFP outlining business, technical, and regulatory needs.
