Actalent in Marietta, OH seeks a Data Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data acquisition systems, databases, and test automation for engineering labs. You will work with Python, SQL, LabVIEW, C/C++, and SolidWorks, integrating PLCs and instrumentation to improve data reliability and testing efficiency.

This on-site role involves collaboration with engineers, technicians, IT, and external vendors, offering hands-on development across software, controls, and data infrastructure.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in engineering data systems, DAQ, or lab environments.
• Experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is preferred.

Mansioni

• Develop, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot data acquisition (DAQ) and automated test systems in engineering/lab environments.
• Create, enhance, and support software applications and scripts for laboratory testing, data collection, and test automation.
• Integrate instrumentation, sensors, DAQ hardware, PLCs, and test equipment into automated testing environments.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, communication, and data quality issues in data acquisition systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for engineering data storage and analysis.
• Improve data accessibility, reporting, and data management processes for engineering decisions.
• Support engineering software platforms, including CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Coordinate software installations, upgrades, licensing, and maintenance for engineering/lab systems.
• Maintain clear technical documentation including configurations and SOPs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation and testing efficiency.
