  • Use 211 data to identify community needs, unmet needs, and emerging trends.
  • Supervise data research interns and fellows, providing mentorship and oversight of projects that analyze and translate 211 data for community use.
  • Oversee database curation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Inform USA and United Way standards.
  • Conduct community research by integrating external public data sources (e.g., Census, BLS, state-level datasets) with 211 data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Partner with the VP of 211 on strategic leadership initiatives, using data to inform policy, advocacy, and system-level decision-making.
  • Produce compelling infographics, maps, and data visualizations for both technical and public audiences, ensuring AUW’s data is accessible and impactful.
  • Support advocacy and fundraising by producing data that demonstrates AUW’s impact and informs policy.
  • Represent AUW 211 in local and national data collaboratives, ensuring alignment with Inform USA and United Way standards.
  • Lead and coordinate data sharing and collaboration with other AUW departments to enhance organizational impact.

Data Management & Quality

  • Develop and document data dictionaries, SOPs, and reporting workflows.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Design and maintain dashboards, data visualizations, and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on community needs, service gaps, and 211 performance.
  • Support funder reporting, board reporting, and public communications with accurate and compelling data.
  • Support disaster data reporting and surge capacity analysis.

Systems & Technical Support

  • Serve as liaison with vendors (Salesforce, call center, reporting tools) to troubleshoot and optimize systems.
  • Maintain integration between multiple platforms (e.g., Salesforce, CXOne, Power BI, website analytics).
  • Train staff on data systems and develop resources to build organizational data literacy.

Other Duties

  • Manage data-related projects such as database clean-up, system upgrades, and platform migrations, ensuring they are delivered on time and with stakeholder input.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with AUW policies and applicable law.
  • Participate in team and cross-departmental projects as needed.
