Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Data Steward to ensure the quality, consistency, and governance of enterprise data assets. You’ll bridge business and technical teams, define data standards, validate accuracy, and support governance initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and process owners to document lineage, ownership, and usage guidelines, and to keep metadata current as systems evolve. Strong Excel, SQL, and BI tool experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years of data analysis, reporting, master data management, or related discipline.
• Experience working with business data and reporting processes.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms (SAP, Dynamics, SyteLine, Oracle) in manufacturing.
• Exposure to data governance principles and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing data quality assessments to identify inaccuracies and gaps.
• Validate data across reports, dashboards, databases, and source systems.
• Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions.
• Reconcile data between ERP, CRM, data warehouse and other systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce data governance policies.
• Document data lineage, ownership, definitions, and usage guidelines.

The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and governance of enterprise data assets. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by defining data standards, validating data accuracy, maintaining business metadata, and supporting data governance initiatives.

The Data Steward works closely with business process owners, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to ensure data is reliable, well-documented, and aligned with business requirements.Perform ongoing data quality assessments to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and missing information.Validate data across reports, dashboards, databases, and source systems.Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions.Reconcile data between ERP, CRM, data warehouse, and other enterprise systems.Assist in executing periodic data audits and validation exercises.~ Collaborate with business stakeholders to support the development, documentation, and enforcement of enterprise data governance policies.

Document data lineage, ownership, definitions, and usage guidelines.Ensure metadata remains current as systems, processes, and reporting requirements evolve.Support users in understanding available data assets and business definitions.Serve as a trusted resource for data-related questions and definitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business systems, master data management, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with business data and reporting processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Dynamics, SyteLine, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and frameworks.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
• Experience documenting business processes and data definitions.
