Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Data Steward in Central City, KY. You will ensure quality, consistency, and governance of enterprise data assets, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to define data standards and validate accuracy.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and process owners to document metadata, enforce governance policies, and support reporting and analytics initiatives using tools like Power BI and SQL. 4-6 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business/IT field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, governance, or data management.
• Experience with ERP and enterprise data concepts.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Perform ongoing data quality assessments to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and missing information.
• Validate data across reports, dashboards, databases, and source systems.
• Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions.

The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and governance of enterprise data assets. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by defining data standards, validating data accuracy, maintaining business metadata, and supporting data governance initiatives. The Data Steward works closely with business process owners, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to ensure data is reliable, well-documented, and aligned with business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Dynamics, SyteLine, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and frameworks.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
• Experience documenting business processes and data definitions.
