Job summary

Aptonet is seeking Data Specialist II candidates to join a government project in Washington, DC. On-site work supports the Department of Justice's National Fraud Enforcement Division, handling forensically captured data and various review platforms.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of litigation discovery process and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Familiarity with Government IT environments and office automation networks.
  • Experience with Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.
  • Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity/RelOne, Nuix or other document processing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
  • Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides Senior Data Specialist with detailed notice of deficiencies.
  • Performs advanced tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases, including: identifying data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, ensuring that exports comply with applicable ESI specifications, and quality check of exported data.
  • Develop, document, and maintain in the “Process and Procedure Manual” Processing Services procedures that adhere to policies.
  • Implements Processing Services in accordance with policies.
  • Process received data using industry standards.
  • Upload the processed data to the review platform.
  • Identify and implement approved opportunities for simplification, consolidation, automation, cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the capabilities and reduce the cost associated with the Processing Services.
