Job summary

Think Consulting is seeking a Data Specialist II to support complex litigation, investigations, and eDiscovery operations in the Washington, DC area. You will process large data sets, prepare data for review, ensure quality, and support legal teams with tech-driven workflows.

Ideal candidates have hands-on data processing experience, knowledge of review platforms, and familiarity with eDiscovery procedures. Hybrid work arrangements may be available depending on project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years in eDiscovery, litigation support, data processing, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the EDRM.
  • Experience processing electronic files and preparing data for review platforms.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based environments and standard business applications.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manipulate electronic files and data sets for use in litigation support and document review platforms.
  • Perform data loading, file conversions, database indexing, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve methodologies for processing and managing litigation data.
  • Validate incoming productions to ensure compliance with Client specifications and standards.
  • Identify and document data processing deficiencies and communicate findings to project leadership.
  • Export data from review databases and repositories while ensuring compliance with protocols and production requirements.
  • Verify redactions, metadata handling, and other quality control measures prior to production.
  • Develop, document, and maintain process documentation and workflow guides.
  • Process received data using industry-standard eDiscovery tools and methodologies.
  • Upload processed data into review environments and litigation support platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, workflow efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Support the enhancement of data processing capabilities and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with legal, technical, and project teams to support active investigations and litigation matters.

Job description

We are seeking a Data Specialist II to support complex litigation, investigations, and electronic discovery (eDiscovery) operations. This role is responsible for processing large volumes of electronically stored information (Client), preparing data for review platforms, ensuring data quality, and supporting legal teams with technology-driven litigation workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with data processing tools, document review platforms, and industry-standard eDiscovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manipulate electronic files and data sets for use in litigation support and document review platforms.
  • Perform data loading, file conversions, database indexing, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve methodologies for processing and managing litigation data.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, data processing, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Experience processing electronic files and preparing data for review platforms.
  • Experience with:
    • Data conversion and transformation
    • Database loading and retrieval
    • Data culling and filtering
    • Quality assurance and validation
    • Data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based environments and standard business applications.
  • Familiarity with document review, encryption, and data management technologies.
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
    • Relativity / RelOne
    • Nuix
    • LAW
    • IPRO
    • Similar eDiscovery processing tools
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or similar government background clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or a related technical field.

    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • LiveNote or similar litigation support tools
  • Experience handling digital evidence and forensic data collections.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale document reviews involving one million or more records.
  • Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud‑based platforms, and large data environments.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with advanced search technologies, AI‑assisted review tools, prompt‑based search methodologies, and analytics.
  • Trial support experience.
