Job summary

Envision Technology Solutions in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a senior data platform architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures for property and casualty insurance workloads. You will drive cloud modernization initiatives across AWS and Azure, collaborating with actuaries, underwriters, and IT teams to deliver robust data solutions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with modern data platforms, and a strong emphasis on AI-enabled data capabilities

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms and data architecture design.

• Gen AI in SDLC and data platforms familiarity.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and IT teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Familiarity with Guidewire, Duck Creek, ISO, LexisNexis recommended.

Job description

• Experience with cloud data platforms ( AWS Glue, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing, data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, Informatica, Datastage, AWS Glue, Snowflake
• Must have led hands on experience with modern data platforms.
• Well versed with Gen AI terminology and implemented cases with Gen AI in SDLC and Data platforms.
• Familiarity with insurance core systems
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture tailored to the needs of the P&C insurance business.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and IT teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
• Evaluate Tool & technologies, run proof of concept and propose technology options and solutions to the client.
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Define data integration strategies across internal systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek) and third-party data providers (e.g., ISO, LexisNexis).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
• Be a key player in transforming the data landscape, drive adoption of AI within the technical team
• Identify potential use cases for new features with tools in the marketplace for data and AI.
