Job summary

Grocery Outlet in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Data Solution Architect to define strategy and drive design and implementation across SAP S/4 and related data platforms. You will model enterprise data, optimize SAP landscapes, and collaborate with business partners to deliver scalable data solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead data architecture efforts, mentor engineers, and work with BI tools like Power BI and SAC to support reporting and analytics. The role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in SAP HANA Native Modelling, SAP BW & SAP Analytics on Cloud (SAC).
• Min. 2 end to end implementation & proven experience at the data architect level leading SAP HANA Side CAR / SAP BW Modernization.
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks environment.
• Nice to have: Real-time ML systems familiarity within Databricks; SAP Databricks beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to understand business priorities and architect data solutions.
• Model enterprise business lines with robust documentation and target gold tables and pipeline flow.
• Lead SAP HANA Side CAR migration to SAP BDC transformations.
• Architect SAP Datasphere & BDC environments (Space, Semantics layer, integration).
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, pipelines, and workflows within SAP Datasphere.
• Partner with data science and reporting teams to translate data requirements into models.
• Mentor Data Engineers and lead team growth; share knowledge via brown bags and tech talks.
