Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Data Analytics Architect to lead the design of our analytics backbone, including data models, data movement, and governance. You will shape the federation of in-house data structures with vendor solutions and ensure high-quality data for analytics across the organization.

Role requires hands-on experience with SAP, Azure, and modern data tooling, plus the ability to translate complex tech into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science or related field.
• 7 years of direct work experience in data architecture and ETL.
• Hands-on with SAP BW4/HANA, SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, Power BI.
• Preferred: Gas or Electric utility industry experience.
• Strong ability to translate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve data architecture to support reporting, dashboards and analytics.
• Establish source data analysis, ETL design and data federation practices.
• Guide data analysts and ETL developers on data models and structures.
• Ensure data security, metadata management and data quality standards.
• Oversee QA, testing, and peer reviews of data models and ETL apps.
• Provide SME guidance to BIA initiatives and cross-team collaborations.
• Maintain operations and optimize ETL performance with DBAs and IT teams.
