Job summary

Talentify in East Hanover, NJ, is seeking a Data Solution Architect for a 3‑month contract. Hybrid schedule, $40.85–$42.03/hr, 40 hours/week.

You will partner with MDS to ensure data accessibility, build data models, and govern datasets across SAP and cloud sources (Azure, GCP). Responsibilities include gathering requirements, creating testable acceptance criteria, designing pipelines, and documenting data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1+ years in Data Engineering/Modeling and 3+ years in Database Design.
• Experience with SAP and diverse data sources in a business setting.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and DAX.
• Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms (Azure, GCP) and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with MDS to ensure data accessibility, retrievability, security, and ethical protection.
• Gather requirements with Product Owners, BI Developers, and Business Leads.
• Develop requirement docs, acceptance criteria, and test cases for UAT/SIT.
• Support building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and transport systems.
• Build, test, and maintain flexible data models reconciling source models into a single model.
• Analyze data source structure, format, and reliability for integrity and accuracy.
• Participate in data governance to document data for reuse and consistent retrieval.

Job Title: Data Solution Architect
Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)
Pay rate: $40.85 - $42.03/hr
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Duration: 3 month contract

Overview

Job Specifications

• Partner with MDS to ensure data accessibility, retrievability, security, and protection in an ethical manner
• Conduct business requirement gathering and continuous improvement sessions with Product Owners, BI Developers, and Business Leads
• Develop requirement documents, acceptance criteria, and test cases for UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and SIT (System Integration Testing)
• Support scoping, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and transport systems to retrieve applicable datasets
• Build, test, and maintain flexible data models while reconciling multiple logical source models into a single consistent model
• Analyze the structure, format, and reliability of new and existing data sources for integrity, completeness, and accuracy
• Participate in data governance processes to document and maintain data for business reusability and consistent information retrieval
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
• 1+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Modeling and 3+ years in Database Design required
• Experience with Data Engineering concepts within a business setting, including working with SAP and internal/external data sources
• Proficiency in cloud computing technologies (Azure, GCP) and analytics platforms (Databricks, Google Cloud Dataproc)
• Expertise in programming languages including SQL, Python, PySpark, and DAX
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, DataOps, ETL processes, data pipelines, and technical documentation
• Hands‑on experience with data modeling and wrangling techniques/tools (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau)
