The Data Security Governance Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for leading efforts to prevent, monitor and govern information/data breaches and cyber-attacks. The overall objective of this governance role is to ensure adherence to standards and activities are in alignment with Citi's data security policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate metrics and ensure productivity to guarantee Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and client expectations are met
  • Analyze and determine the root cause of issues and impacts to business to develop a corrective action plan.
  • Initiate the assessment, knowledge transfer, and transition of new security systems
  • Ensure procedures are followed, define operating standards and processes and develop clear procedures and process control manuals
  • Perform information security awareness and training activities
  • Suggest improvement to process efficiencies
  • Verify through testing that essential procedures are followed
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in Information Security (Data Protection, Cryptography, Data at Rest, Governance, etc)
  • One or more industry-recognized certifications is highly preferred or a commitment to achieve certification within 12 months of joining.
  • Ability to articulate (written and verbally) complex technical or business concepts clearly to various audiences
  • Proven analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify root causes and implement viable solutions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating challenges, and making informed decisions to drive efficiency.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
