Guidehouse is seeking a Data Security professional to support complex data protection projects across the organization. You will help implement DLP, classify sensitive information, and ensure compliance with standards such as NIST and ISO while working with IT and security teams.
This role requires US citizenship, alignment with East Coast business hours, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will engage with stakeholders, document investigations, and contribute to the security

Support and execute multiple complex Data Security projects and company-wide initiatives, delivering results within established scope, timeline, and budget.
Apply technical knowledge, critical thinking, and sound judgement to troubleshoot issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and support practical solutions that enhance Data Security services.
Support the day-to-day operations of Guidehouse Information Protection security systems, helping maintain and protect Guidehouse and client data in alignment with applicable standards such as NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, HIPAA, HITRUST, and support secure handling of information transmitted through approved electronic transfer methods.
Assist in the implementation and management of data loss prevention (DLP) solutions to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and exfiltration.
Monitor and analyze data sharing activities across the organization to comply with security policies and regulations.
Support the identification, classification, and management of sensitive information within the organization.Participate in investigations related to data loss prevention.
Maintain accurate documentation of processes, investigations, and compliance activities. Prepare reports for management review.
Work closely with other IT and security teams to enhance overall security posture and alignment with organizational goals.
Interact with employees to receive requests, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve security issues related to Data Security services.
Reports directly to the Data Security Associate Director.
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2-4 years of prior relevant experience, or 6 experience in-leu of degree.
United States Citizenship.
Must be able to work East Coast US business hours.
Basic understanding of data loss prevention (DLP) technologies, encryption methods, and secure file transfer protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Working knowledge of security tools and technologies related to DLP and data protection.
Experience with cloud environments, network security, and information security principles.
Ability to work on many concurrent and changing priorities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Information Security Administrator Associate, ITILv4).
Experience working with DLP solutions such as Digital Guardian, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, or Symantec.
Experience working with data classification solutions such as Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Amazon Macie, Fortra, or Netwrix.
Experience working with cryptographic capabilities such as S/MIME certificates, secrets, or data encryption keys.
Experience processing tickets in platforms such as BMC or ServiceNow.
The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
