Job summary

Metric5 is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain modern web applications using React, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript. You will work within a cloud-native ecosystem, integrating data streaming, CDC pipelines, and OpenSearch capabilities for fast, reliable data access.

You will collaborate with Agile teams to ensure performance, UX quality, and scalable APIs. Candidates should have 7+ years in web app development, strong REST API experience, and hands-on

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on web application development.
• 7+ years with React, Redux Toolkit, routing, and UI libraries (Material-UI).
• 7+ years with Node.js and NestJS or similar server-side frameworks.
• Experience with ORMs (TypeORM) and MariaDB/MySQL relational databases.
• Proficiency with AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for clean code.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Practical experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and data streaming (Kafka, Debezium).
• 3+ years in Agile/SAFe/Scrum environments for enterprise products.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Helm, and GitOps deployment workflows.
• Security+ Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust web applications using React, Node.js, NestJS, and TS.
• Develop REST APIs with NestJS/TypeORM backed by MariaDB/MySQL and search platforms like OpenSearch.
• Deploy and support apps on OpenShift/Kubernetes with Helm and ArgoCD in a GitOps workflow.
• Tune OpenSearch indexes and CDC/data pipelines for fast, scalable data access.
