Job description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Scrum Master with experience in data management and analytics. The ideal candidate is proactive and has a strong personality, capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This individual will be key in facilitating Agile practices within our data teams, ensuring smooth and efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader to the Scrum Team, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective) and support the Product Owner with Backlog Refinement meetings.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Program Managers to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and priorities.
  • Support the Project Management Office in upholding and improving processes for collaboration for all teams.
  • Assist in the identification and removal of impediments to the team’s progress.
  • Guide the team in the effective use of agile practices, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality, data-driven products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency in project delivery.
  • Mentor team members in agile methodologies and practices, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address challenges head-on, maintaining focus and direction.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of Scrum processes and tools within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a focus on data-related projects.
  • Deep understanding of data analytics, data management, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex team dynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a go-getter attitude.
  • Resilient personality with the ability to maintain composure and direction under pressure.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

Supervisory Responsibility?
This is not a direct supervisory role but requires strong coordination, leadership presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional team members and stakeholders.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
