OCT Consulting, LLC is seeking a Junior Data Scientist / Sr Analyst to support a federal client with data analysis and predictive modeling on the Databricks platform. Responsibilities include ETL development, data analysis, and building Databricks pipelines and visualizations.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and current/public trust clearance, a B.S. (M.S. preferred) in a quantitative field, and at least five years of professional experience. Hybrid work with two days in McLean, VA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar; MS preferred.
• Experience with Databricks and ETL/analytics using Python and SQL.
• Hybrid work location with 2 days/week in McLean, VA.

Junior Data Scientist / Sr Analyst

OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, Data Analytics, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

OCT currently has an opening for a Junior Data Scientist to support an existing federal client with data analysis and predictive model development on the Databricks platform.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Data cleaning and ETL development with SQL and Python
• Data analysis using SQL and Python
• Building pipelines in Databricks
• Building visualizations with Databricks

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Current or prior Public Trust Clearance with a federal agency
• Minimum B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Familiarity with FAIR principles, data governance, and AI ethics.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks features such as Unity Catalog setup, privilege models, and workspace administration required.
• Databricks certifications are preferred
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Location: Hybrid, with 2 days/week in the McLean, VA office

Salary Range: $100,0000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
