Data Scientist, (SME) - Clearance Required (Remote work local to DC Metro or FL)

This position requires an experienced Data Scientist with SME-level expertise to support cyber analytic capabilities for federal cybersecurity programs. The role involves developing machine learning models, analyzing large datasets, and providing actionable insights to enhance network security. The candidate must have an active high-level US government security clearance, extensive experience in data science and related fields, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.

The work is primarily telework-based with occasional meetings at client locations in Arlington, VA, or Pensacola, FL, or ICF facilities within the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities include:

• Extract knowledge from subject matter experts and develop algorithms
• Lead use case and product development based on client requirements
• Analyze large datasets to identify actionable insights with statistical rigor
• Design and deploy deep learning and predictive models
• Develop custom data models and assess data source effectiveness
• Communicate results to non-technical stakeholders

Minimum qualifications:

• Active high-level US government security clearance
• US Citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience in relevant fields
• At least 15 years of practical experience in areas like NLP, machine learning, data science, or related fields

Preferred skills:

• Extensive experience in cyber threats, AI, NLP, and network analysis
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of Databricks platform and security certifications like Security+
