Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data analytics professional to address complex client challenges in the Data Science Consulting family. You will perform data analysis, develop analytical solutions, and partner with utility clients and Guidehouse experts to define objectives and actionable recommendations.

You will design, develop, test, and implement data and AI-enabled solutions, translating business needs into scalable workflows, dashboards, and decision-support tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of data analytics or related experience.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS.
• Experience with large datasets and analytics solutions.
• Strong communication and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Perform data analysis and develop analytical solutions using tools such as Python, R, Snowflake, SQL, Databricks, Power BI, GIS, and other modern analytics platforms to address complex client business challenges.
• Partner with utility clients and Guidehouse subject matter experts to define business objectives, analytical approaches, technical requirements, and actionable recommendations.
• Design, develop, test, and implement data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support utility clients’ business objectives.
• Translate business needs into scalable analytical workflows, data products, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
• Lead project workstreams and provide technical mentorship, guidance, and quality review for analysts and consultants, supporting their professional development and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, helping clients gain confidence in data-driven decisions.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree
• THREE (3) or more year s of professional experience applying data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems
• Proficiency with analytical and data management tools such as Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets and developing analytical solutions from concept through implementation.
• Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights and recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or other energy-sector organizations.
• Familiarity with utility business functions such as customer programs, DERs, electrification, asset management, operations, regulatory planning.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms, data engineering, AI, machine learning, geospatial analytics, or optimization techniques.
• Experience developing dashboards, data products, or decision-support applications for business users.
• Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications in analytics, cloud technologies, or data engineering.
