Job summary

Guidehouse, a data science consulting firm, seeks professionals for Federal client projects in the Washington, DC area. You will design data-driven solutions using Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks, and automate workflows with Power Automate.

You will communicate insights to leadership and engage clients to capture requirements and drive initiatives forward. You will also support RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and white papers, leveraging cloud analytics and modern data platforms to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• 2 years of data science, data engineering, or data analytics experience.
• Proficiency with Python for data wrangling and analysis.
• SQL querying and data wrangling experience.
• ETL/ELT data pipeline design and development experience.
• Experience with Large Language Models and prompt engineering.
• Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in Python.
• Experience with cloud analytics (Azure/AWS).
• Ability to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the Washington D.C. metro area.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

• Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• TWO (2) years of Data science, data engineering or data analytics experience.
• Proficiency in connecting data sources and wrangling data using Python.
• Experience in querying and wrangling data using SQL.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience utilizing Large Language Models and prompt engineering.
• Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models using Python.
• Experience performing analytics and data engineering in a cloud environment, such as Azure or AWS.
• Ability to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the Washington D.C. metro area.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• THREE (3) years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working in Databricks.
• Strong understanding of statistics and statistical methods.
• Understanding of Natural Language Processing.
• Familiarity with Databricks platform for conducting data science.
• Familiarity with development involving APIs.
• Ability to learn new software tools.
• Ability to work independently, proactively identify opportunities to add value to the client, and drive initiatives and innovation.
• Ability to clearly communicate and present technical solutions, insights, and results to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
• Ability to develop and conduct technical training.
• Familiarity with RAG methods and development.
• Understanding of AI/ML model containerization, such as with Docker.
• Proficiency in developing data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, applying best practices.
• Experience automating data analytics and other business processes using Power Automate.
• Proficiency using source control and collaborative development practices.
• Experience with graph analytics, network analysis, or graph data modeling.
• Relevant experience supporting Department of State or other Federal Government organizations.
