Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a senior data scientist to transform complex datasets into actionable insights for Navy mission solutions. You will collaborate with customers to frame questions, develop algorithms, and build predictive analytics in a data-rich environment.

You will deploy ML models, write data pipelines, and present findings to military leaders to support informed decisions. A strong statistical/programming background and security clearance are required.

You Have

• 8+ years of experience with analyzing data
• 8+ years of experience with using statistical software applications, including SAS or R
• 5+ years of experience with developing data science solutions in a scripting or programming language, including Python, R, C, or Java
• Knowledge of data engineering practices, including ETL or ELT
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have

• 5+ years of experience with developing statistical and simulation models
• 3+ years of experience with natural language processing topics, including tagging, syntactic parsing, word sense disambiguation, topic modeling, contextual text mining, and application of deep learning to NLP
• 3+ years of experience with developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, using strong baselines, and accurately determining cause and effect relationships
• Master's degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Networks, or Operations Research

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
