The Sponsor requires an experienced Java developer with the demonstrated ability to assess, maintain, and rewrite legacy Java applications without requiring foundational training or oversight — the candidate must be effective on day one. The Sponsor needs proven, hands‑on Java development skills to refactor and extend existing backend systems, with a preference for candidates who also bring experience in Spring Boot and REST API development to support web application integration. The work may be performed independently or within a team environment alongside existing Python development capability.
