Job summary

Rhombus Power, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist (Secret/Top Secret) in Washington, DC to design and deploy data pipelines, models, and analytics on large datasets.

The role emphasizes rigorous data architecture, reliability, and communication across technical contexts. The ideal candidate will have a strong statistics/engineering background, expertise in Python with Pandas and PyArrow, database experience (MySQL/Oracle), and cloud skills (AWS/GCloud/Azure).

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field; Masters preferred.
• Proficiency with Python and data handling libraries such as Pandas and PyArrow.
• Experience with database management solutions (MySQL, Oracle).
• Large-scale data processing and batch pipelines in HPC or cloud environments.
• Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCloud, Azure) is a plus.
• US Citizenship is a requirement; Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus.
• Salary range from $90,000 to $200,000; final salary based on experience.
• Role requires on-site presence 4 days/week in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Discover datasets that could aid in solution development.
• Data curation, evaluation, and analysis.
• Design, create, and implement quantitative models.
• Validate data, models and results; ensure quality.
• Deploy solutions with the product team.
• Interact with product team on user requirements.
• Respond to customer feedback and timelines.
• Adopt a systems-level approach to integrate solutions within larger projects.
