Job summary

At Lutron, we are transforming how people experience light through intelligent, connected lighting. As a Data Scientist, you will apply data science, analytics, ML, and AI to help improve customer experiences and operations.

You will work with experienced teams to turn data into actionable insights and deploy models into production. Requirements include a graduate degree in a related field, 4+ years of experience, Python or R with SQL, and ML library experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics or related field.
  • Minimum GPA 3.00 on all degrees earned.
  • 4+ years hands-on data science, analytics or ML experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or R with SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to end-to-end data science projects to improve product performance and customer experience.
  • Translate business questions into analytical approaches with clear metrics.
  • Develop, test, and validate ML models and analyses under guidance.
  • Partner with engineering/product teams to deploy models into production.
  • Apply data cleaning, feature engineering, model evaluation, and documentation.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously learn and apply new data science techniques relevant to Lutron.
