Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to apply data science, analytics, ML, and AI to enhance customer experiences, products, and operations.

You will collaborate with senior data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business partners to turn data into actionable insights and deploy models into production. The role requires a graduate degree in a data-related field, 4+ years of hands-on experience, and strong Python or R skills with SQL.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a data-related field such as Data Science, CS, or Statistics.
• Minimum GPA of 3.00 across all degrees.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with regression, classification, clustering, and time series analyses.
• Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to end-to-end data science projects that improve product performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches with clear metrics and success criteria.
• Develop, test, and validate machine learning models and statistical analyses under guidance from senior team members.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to support deployment of models and analytics into production systems.
• Apply best practices in data cleaning, feature engineering, model evaluation, and documentation.
• Communicate findings, insights, and technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously learn and apply new data science techniques relevant to Lutron's products and business.
