We expect a lot from one another and value our thoughtful and intellectually curious company culture.

The Data Scientist is responsible for creating analytical solutions for data-driven marketing. The Data Scientist leverages supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to optimize all aspects of the marketing value chain (targeting, bid optimization, messaging, media preference, Text-to-Speech). Additionally, this role will have interdepartmental responsibility by supporting new product development and data best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop repeatable automated “data wrangling” processes across multiple incoming data streams (performance, suitability, optimization, categorization, and more)
  • Build models to leverage multiple algorithms (logistic regression, random forest, GBM, RNN, CNN, CHAID, etc)
  • Conduct Text Mining (Sentiment Analysis, TF-IDF, etc) concerning our suitability scoring
  • Create code deployable as automated routines in production environments
  • Model validation activities
  • Enable supervised and unsupervised analysis of ad campaigns
  • Deliver non-technical presentations of technical solutions to Product Team and Leadership
  • Develop agentic frameworks to harness LLMs and utilize NLP
  • Establish statistically valid measurement practices
  • Recommend storage and usage practices for outputs of Data-Science processes
  • Run ad-hoc analyses related to Product builds and Requirements to drive data-driven Product direction
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • BA/Master’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Applied Mathematics
  • 3 or more years of applied statistical analysis
  • 3 or more years of experience with Python
  • 3 or more years of experience with SQL
  • Experience with scikit-learn or keras, pandas, and numpy
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 15% a year for onsite meetings, training, etc.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Natural curiosity about systems, data, and behaviors
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to execute with limited supervision
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas in simple general terms
  • Resourceful in the development of solutions
  • Experience with big data platforms (AWS, Aurora, ElasticSearch)
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing
  • Experience building Data Science tools or Agentic Frameworks
  • Experience in AdTech or data-driven marketing
  • Work with a leading startup in a high-demand industry, and you would be working with like-minded experts aiming to transform video targeting and buying operations
  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive medical benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance)
  • Cell Phone & WiFi Reimbursement
  • Gym stipend
  • Work-life flexibility – we value your contributions above all
