Job summary

Meta in the United States seeks a Data Scientist to shape analytics across our family of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. You will work with massive datasets, apply rigorous statistical methods, and influence product strategy with data-driven insights.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Sales teams to define metrics, run experiments, and deliver measurable impact. A strong background in SQL, Python, or R is required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of analytics experience with SQL, Python, and/or R.

  • Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to develop strategies for our products.
  • Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics.
  • Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve the product and drive roadmaps through insights.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy.

You will use data and analysis to identify and solve product development's biggest challenges. You will influence product strategy and investment decisions with data, be focused on impact, and collaborate with other teams. Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  2. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent
  3. 4+ years of work experience in analytics, data querying languages such as SQL, scripting languages such as Python, and/or statistical mathematical software such as R (minimum of 2 years with a Ph.D.)
  4. 4+ years of experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, understanding ecosystems, user behaviors & long-term product trends, and leading data-driven projects from definition to execution [including defining metrics, experiment, design, communicating actionable insights]

  1. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  2. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  3. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Public Compensation:

$147,000/year to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
