Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Data Scientist to join the TCJ1-RD Human Capital Strategy & Analytics team at Scott AFB, Illinois. You will build and maintain a sustainable data strategy, develop dashboards, and apply machine learning and AI methods to inform civilian recruitment, talent development, and retention initiatives.

You will design analytics capable of supporting active-duty, Guard and Reserve members, and civilian employees, while ensuring on-demand access to analysis-ready human

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters and 3 years, or PhD.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and business intelligence, and/or data science tools.
• Demonstrated collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge to transform data into actionable information for strategic human capital management.
• Deliver data-driven decisional products supporting active-duty, Guard/Reserve, and civilian employees.
• Design and implement BI dashboards powered by advanced data science methods.
• Develop and maintain a robust data foundation for on-demand data access.
• Analyze data to identify trends and relationships.
• Map and analyze data across secure and non-classified defense networks.
• Continuously improve tools for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ensure effective communication among users, SMEs, and leadership.
• Provide insight to develop processes for data science tool lifecycles.
• Maintain knowledge of technology trends.
