Job summary

Iron EagleX (IEX), a subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology, seeks a Data Scientist-Mid to support SOCCENT at MacDill AFB, FL. The role focuses on data science, ML concepts, and API-driven data solutions in a defense context.

Requires 5–8 years’ experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and US citizenship with TS/SCI clearance. On-site 5 days, competitive benefits, and a collaborative Intelligence Data Science Team environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of related data science experience, including academic or internship work.
• US Citizenship and DoW TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Role is on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to completion of specific programs and projects.
• Develop data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
• Interpret, connect, predict, and discover insights from data using advanced tools.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new data sources and gathering techniques.
• Use predictive modeling to improve customer experience, efficiencies, and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data for business solutions.
• Potentially develop ML-based tools to monitor model performance and data accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may coach junior staff.
• Work independently under general supervision.
