Job summary

McKinsey & Company seeks a data scientist to blend advanced analytics with semantic modeling, shaping products and strategy across multiple domains. You will design predictive models, run large experiments, and define ontologies and graphs that connect enterprise data.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Defense experience and data handling at various classification levels.
• SECRET Security Clearance required; TS+ preferred.
• 3+ years as a Data Scientist; enterprise platform experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of NLP, Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI.
• Experience with OpenAI GPT suite incl. GPT4V and GPT4o.
• Theory on using LLMs for classification, re-rankers, and recommendations.
• Strong Python programming skills for end-to-end data models and pipelines.
• Experience managing a Git repository with proper version control.
• Experience with knowledge graphs.

Responsibilities

• You’ll blend advanced analytics with semantic modeling to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that shapes products and business strategy.
• You’ll design predictive models, run large scale experiments, and surface insights, while defining ontologies and knowledge graphs that connect enterprise data.
• Partner with engineers and domain experts to establish data standards, ensure quality, and operationalize models and graph services at scale.
• Deliver state-of-the-art generative AI automations with the Client Capabilities Network team.
• Develop a generative AI product with firm-wide impact, collaborating in a cross-functional team on high-priority initiatives.
