Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an advanced math/statistics background with programming, domain knowledge, and communication skills.
• Experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems and presenting results to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ML projects.
• Experience with distributed SQL and both relational and non-relational data queries.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python and R.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques and scientific method.
• Coordinate research and analytic activities across structured and unstructured data.
• Experiment with data to derive solutions to data challenges.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to build data environments.
• Apply statistics and algorithms to discover relevant problems and opportunities.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models, NLP, and ML techniques.
• Design and automate data manipulation and analysis processes across large datasets.
• Utilize Spark and Hadoop for large-scale data processing; create data visualizations with Tableau/Power BI/R Shiny.
• Program in R, Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) for analytics.
• Work with cloud-based platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera.
