Job summary

Altamira Technologies Corp. is seeking a Data Scientist to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ML projects. You will analyze complex data, apply NLP, forecasting, clustering, and other techniques, and communicate results to non-technical stakeholders.

The role requires strong programming, math, and statistical skills, experience with cloud platforms, and the ability to travel ~25% to support the Mobile Training team. A STEM degree and security clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required; Master’s preferred in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree acceptable with training and verifiable work experience in a related field.
• Proficient with programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.).
• Proficient in Agile Development and Git Operations.
• TS/SCI clearance is preferred; Minimum SECRET Clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematics and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.
• Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data.
• Experiment against data points, provide information based on results and offer solutions to data challenges.
• Coordinate with Data Engineers to build Data environments providing data identified by other professionals.
• Apply statistics and ML algorithms to discover problems, hypotheses, and opportunities.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive modeling, NLP, RPA, text mining, clustering, forecasting, and other techniques.
• Design and automate data manipulation and analysis processes across large data sets.
• Use Spark/Hadoop for large-scale data processing; visualize data with Tableau/Power BI/R Shiny.
