Job summary

Planet Technologies in Washington DC is seeking a highly motivated Mid level Data Scientist to join their team. In this role, you'll support impactful projects important for the nation, where you will build dashboards, apply AI/ML, and conduct risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Power Platform, strong machine learning skills, and a Top-Secret clearance. This position is on-site five days a week and offers a salary range of $125,000 to $200,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Mid level Data Scientist. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

Key Responsibilities

• Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations.
• Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL.
• Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis.
• Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation.
• Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization.
• Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management.
• Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment.
• Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions.
• Develops user guides and documentation for BI products.
• Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath required.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Experience with common data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Anaconda, SPSS).
• Experience connecting to and manipulating data from federal systems preferred.
• In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used.
• Ability to work on site 5 days per week.
• An active Top-Secret level clearance is required.

Salary for Data Scientist, Mid at Planet Technologies ranges from $125,000 to $200,000. Several factors will impact final pay, including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
