Job summary

Peraton in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Journeyman Data Scientist to join USCYBERCOM J2. You'll build AI tools, ML models, and predictive analytics to turn raw data into decision-ready intelligence.

You will work with senior data scientists to develop data pipelines, create visualizations with Power BI/Tableau, and apply ML techniques to national security challenges. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

• Merge disparate data sources using R, Python or SQL.
• Collaborate with analysts to identify tool development needs and capability gaps.
• Author and maintain operating procedures for programs and initiatives.

What You Bring

Required

• ActiveTop Secret/SCI (TS/SCI)clearance with Polygraph
• Minimum of 9 years w/o a degree or 7 years with AS/AA or 5 years with BS/BA or 3 years with MS/MA or 0 years with PhD
• Working knowledge of data science methodologies, machine learning concepts, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
• Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and data products
• Proficiency in data science languages:Rand/orPython
• Experience with data visualization tools:Microsoft Power BIand/orTableau
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

• Experience withPower BI, Tableau, R, Python, andSQLin an intelligence, government, or national security context
• Exposure to large dataMulti-INT analytics, machine learning, or automated predictive analytics
• Experience managing or merging disparate data sources
• Familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies and data mining algorithms

What You'll Do

• Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis in support of USCYBERCOM J2 intelligence operations
• Use scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual, and verbal narrative products that enable more informed analytic decisions
• Retrieve and analyze information from diverse sources to deepen understanding of complex intelligence data sets
• Assist in building AI tools that automate intelligence processes and support development ofML-based systemssuch as recommendation engines and automated lead scoring systems
• Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and contribute to high-quality prediction systems
• Develop and update data visualizations usingPower BIandTableau
• Manage and merge disparate data sources usingR, Python, orSQL
• Support application ofMulti-INT analytics, machine learning, and automated predictive analytics under senior guidance
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Collection Managers to identify tool development needs and capability gaps
• Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives
