Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Scientist for the LEO Customer Terminal team to build predictive models that identify potential user-terminal failures and to develop analytics tools for current and future terminals.

You will collaborate with constellation, RF, antenna, silicon, algorithm, and software engineers to drive data-driven design decisions and create scalable visualizations and benchmarks for GenAI model performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM or equivalent experience in STEM fields.
• 3+ years querying data with SQL or similar languages and scripting (Python).
• 3+ years ML/statistical modeling experience with practical results.
• Experience applying theoretical models to real-world problems.
• Ability to document trade studies and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic tools for current and future user terminals.
• Create predictive models to identify potential terminal failures in the field.
• Publish visualizations and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to root-cause failures using data.
