As a Data Scientist Lead within PNC's Data & Automation - AI Governance & Oversight organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL.

Key responsibilities in the role will include, but are not limited to:

• Serves as the accountable owner for the enterprise portfolio of AI solution validation and assurance activities.
• Evaluates AI solutions prior to release and makes certification and go/no-go decisions based on risk-aligned validation requirements and controls.
• Oversees post-deployment monitoring of AI performance, risk, and safety metrics, leading escalation, remediation, and issue resolution for threshold breaches.
• Partners closely with solution owners and delivery teams to ensure compliance with validation and governance requirements throughout the AI lifecycle while enabling timely delivery.
• Acts as a trusted advisor and authority on AI validation standards, driving consistent adherence to enterprise policies and risk management expectations.
• Operates as a senior individual contributor with enterprise-wide program leadership responsibilities and executive visibility. Influence and decision-making authority are derived from governance accountability and subject matter expertise rather than direct people management.

Job Description

Directs and consults on analytical projects that leverage vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights.

Directs the data gathering, data processing and data mining of large and complex datasets. Provides deep technical expertise to advance the data science capabilities of analytics teams.

Serves as a representative of PNC; understands the needs and challenges PNC is facing and provides thought leadership around data science activities both internally and externally.

Supervises the implementation of advanced analytics projects, and as an expert in the field, helps other data scientists present the analytical processes and outcomes to management.

Partners with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers and Visualization Experts to develop data-driven solutions for the business.

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
