Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a flexible data analytics generalist to support horizontal infrastructure operations from a remote, contract role. You will own day-to-day analytics, build dashboards, and provide an analytical layer for data products across asset inventory, network-side systems, and client platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, broad scope, and customer-facing collaboration with partner teams and data engineers. Remote-friendly, contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering data analytics for infrastructure or operations.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for data manipulation.

• Support the operational areas the team covers, including asset inventory and network-side systems and client platform and endpoint services.
• Provide the analytical layer for the team's own infrastructure data products and services including the shared interfaces and tooling the team builds for its users.
• Establish baseline metrics, data quality checks, and reporting hygiene in an area that has had no coverage.
• Partner closely with data engineers on data models and pipelines, flagging gaps and helping shape what gets built.

About the team:

This team sits inside a production engineering and infrastructure organization that builds and operates the internal platforms and services other engineers rely on including asset inventory and network-side systems, and client platform and endpoint services. The team builds the data products, pipelines, and interfaces that make infrastructure data usable across the organization.

Today these horizontal infrastructure operations areas have no dedicated data science support. This role establishes that coverage.

What this person will focus on:

This is a generalist, horizontal seat: someone who can be plugged into any of the team's domains and be productive quickly. The work is broad, hands-on, and customer-facing rather than narrow and specialized.

Own day-to-day analytics for horizontal infrastructure operations intake, scope, and turnaround analysis requests from partner teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
