Google is seeking a Business Data Scientist within Internal Audit to help identify risks and quantify controls across product, infrastructure, and finance data. You will work with engineering, product management, operations and finance to enable stronger risk management and governance.

The role emphasizes data-informed decision making and scalable audit solutions. The team focuses on reducing risk across Alphabet and protecting organizational value while supporting product launches and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Experience applying GenAI to data analysis problems for data generation, enrichment, or processing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business, engineering, and privacy and security auditors to identify and quantify risk and evaluate controls at scale.
• Analyze product, infrastructure and financial data for patterns such as abuse, fraud, brand risk, control breakdowns and regulatory non-compliance; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Develop repeatable methods and infrastructure to support analyses and automate audit procedures.
• Influence teams towards data-informed decision-making and analytical thinking.
