AtkinsRéalis seeks a Data Scientist Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Phoenix, AZ office. You will support data analytics, reporting, and visualization initiatives for internal and client-facing projects.

You will help collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources, build interactive dashboards with Power BI, Smartsheet, and SharePoint, and assist in deploying digital solutions for project controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with focus on analytics.
• Prior internship or involvement in data analytics or BI preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support development and enhancement of data analytics, reporting and visualization solutions.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Data Scientist Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Phoenix, AZ office.

Your role

• Support the development and enhancement of data analytics, reporting and visualization solutions for internal and client-facing projects.
• Assist with data collection, validation, transformation, and integration from multiple data sources, including project controls, scheduling, cost, and operational systems.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other business intelligence platforms.
• Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of digital solutions used for project management, project controls, and operational reporting.
• Analyze business processes and user requirements to identify opportunities for reporting automation and workflow improvements.
• Assist with AI-driven initiatives, including data preparation, testing, prompt development, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
• Perform quality assurance and validation activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with technical managers, developers, data scientists, and project teams to develop and implement client solutions.

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
  • Past internship/involvement related to data analytics, business intelligence, software development or digital technologies preferred.
• EDUCATION:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor'S or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python or other reporting and analytics platforms preferred.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
